Honor Through Action

Ten years ago, during Pride Month, 49 people were murdered at Pulse nightclub in Orlando. Washington lit candles, held a moment of silence, and changed nothing.

We made a different call. Ten days after the attack, Pride Fund to End Gun Violence was registered as a political action committee — because the people who write America’s gun laws were never going to change them on their own. They would have to be replaced.

We honor the victims by doing the work we believe is the strongest way to bring about change: defeating the elected officials and candidates who take the gun lobby’s money and vote its way, and making sure strong gun safety champions win — the people who can actually change our laws. For ten years that has meant training survivors into advocates, mobilizing the LGBTQ community and our allies, and fighting the races that decide who holds power.

When tragedy strikes, you have two options: let it break you down, or let it build you up. We chose the second. Ten years on, we still do.

THE ONLY ONE OF ITS KIND

Pride Fund is the nation's only LGBTQ political action committee solely dedicated to gun violence prevention — endorsing champions of gun safety and equality for all at the federal and state level. We go above and beyond just giving a check to candidates. We pick spotlight races where we can make a difference, and we fight them like a campaign: ads, volunteers, and a community that doesn't give up.

Not a think tank, not a mega-brand with a merch store — and never a PAC that only endorses, writes a check, and moves on. We work hard in the field. Our PAC side works with candidates and builds lasting relationships. Our SuperPAC does independent expenditure campaigns to influence races through television and digital ads, mailers and so much more. Pride Fund is a grassroots political action committee advocating for gun safety and equality for all: a small, bold, campaign-grade force that turns remembrance into electoral results.

HOW WE FIGHT

HONOR. Ten years after Pulse, we keep the same promise: the memory of those we lost, the survivors, and every life touched by gun violence is honored with action — never just words. Pride Fund was born ten days after Pulse and built its proudest legacy mentoring survivors and family members into powerful national advocates. Remembrance here is active: every commemoration carries an ask, and every anniversary advances the work.

MOBILIZE. This is the fight where showing up actually changes something. We don't need spectators — we need the people who'll make the calls into the districts that decide it, and the people who'll fund the work. Volunteers phone-bank into live races from anywhere in the country. Donors fund the ads and the organizing that make those calls land. People join us because we don't hold back — and stay because the work is real.

ELECT. We pick the races where we can make the difference, and we fight them like a campaign — ads, organizers, volunteers — until the seat flips. Endorsement plus campaign-grade work, concentrated where it changes the outcome — with wins we can attribute, often in the candidate's own words.

TAKE ACTION

It will take strong citizen action, fundraising, and political muscle to create change in America. That kind of grassroots effort is the only way our community and our allies can counter the financial power of the NRA and the gun manufacturers that have a stranglehold on Congress. Every year, those groups spend millions of dollars to influence congressional campaigns and legislation. We were built to fight back — and we need you in it.

Volunteer. There's a race that needs you, and you don't have to live in the district to help flip it. Our phone banks run remotely — you call voters in the districts that decide it from wherever you are. Sign up and we'll put you on the next shift. During the off season between elections, we always have events, actions, and work you can help with.

Give. With us, your money goes significantly further. We're the force multiplier: campaigns say it, results show it, and every dollar lands in a race we can actually swing. We never just write a check — we fund the ads and the organizing that win.

WHY THIS STILL MATTERS SO MUCH TO OUR COMMUNITY

In November 2022, a gunman killed five people and wounded twenty-five at Club Q, an LGBTQ nightclub in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In July 2026, a man opened fire outside a gay bar in Asheville, North Carolina. On August 31, 2026, a man carrying a list of LGBTQ businesses shot and killed two men in the parking lot of a gay bar in Tucson, Arizona — police called it what it was: a hate crime. Pulse was not the end. Gunfire keeps finding the places our community gathers.

Advocacy alone has never changed a gun law. Changing who writes them has. Pick a race.

Make the calls. Fund the work. Get involved.

WE REMEMBER

Honoring the memory of those we lost, the survivors, and every life touched by the trauma of the Pulse shooting and gun violence everywhere. Join us in this movement.
